themccaitlin: i think the best part of birthdays is getting in touch with all your friends. so many people that i haven't talked to in a while have im-ed/e-mailed me... it reminds you of the people who are important to you, and also makes you feel like you're important to other people :)

jess is totally right. the great part about birthdays in college is remembering your friends from home and realizing that there are people who care about you here. even after freshman year. thanks everyone! :)
