elements of a good summer day:

meeting really good freinds for really good, really cheap chinese food. with a funny waiter. (even though one of said friends is leaving for india tomorrow :(.)

baseball game. complete with bright lights that make you feel like in that little pocket of the city, it's sunny all the time. and a footlong hotdog. and ice cream. and a schmidter. (you'd be sooo surprised how good a sandwitch with roast beef, bologna, cheese, and thousand island dressing can be.)

and to top it all off: a sporadic rain storm.

so the phillies lost. to the mets of all teams. it was still a pretty good day. it had all the essentials :)
