okay, so maybe not a world traveler, but my passport, which previously only contained one stamp from the bahamas, now has a visa. a visa to chile. and a little word, "gratis" that says, i've payed my dues (or rather, a $100 money order made out to the consulate general of chile) and i'm good to go. overwhelming excitement and apprehension are now overtaking me. countdown... 35 days until i leave, 36 until i arrive. (because yes, i'm finally going on a plane trip that will take more than 3 hours. woohoo, they'll probably even show a movie!)
